Announcing: 2010 OnTrack WNC Board of Directors and Officers

OnTrack WNC is proud to announce new additions to our Board of Directors.

Cedric Nash, Assistant Principal at Asheville High School, is an Asheville High graduate with important insights into the school and community.  Cedric knows the importance of students understanding money and credit and looks forward to exploring ways to more fully integrate financial literacy education into the school system.

Dawn Starks, Owner of Starks Financial Group, is a returning board member with a wealth of knowledge from her previous leadership on the Board of Directors. Dawn was instrumental in helping OnTrack WNC establish our financial planning program and will help the program continue to evolve.  

Jack Wells, Retired (Bank of America), brings a wealth of knowledge from the human resources arena. His previous involvement as a volunteer counselor and board member shows his long-term commitment to OnTrack WNC's mission of helping people manage their money and credit.

José Gonzales, Community Member, worked intensively as a former board member to sensitize the agency to needs in the Latino community.  Now, with 30% of OnTrack WNC’s staff bi-lingual (Spanish speaking), OnTrack WNC is poised to further serve the Latino community and looks to José for leadership.

Rusty Edwards, SVP, Business Banking Manager of WNC for Wachovia, returns to the board as an advocate for expanding OnTrack WNC’s capacity to meet the needs in western NC.  Rusty sees financial education as a way OnTrack WNC can support individuals in our community which contributes to the economic stability of our region.
